Creativity In Parallel
My work embodies a continuous cycle of ends and beginnings reflecting a deep connection to my heritage and history. I am a combination of genes and desires of my family and purposes assigned by my creator. It is not clear which desires are mine, if there are any. I exist as a bridge between realms and generations and I bring forth messages meant for others through collages, sculptures and installations. When materials, spirit, mind and body are aligned and in agreement, I create as I imagine, I create as I act, I create as I construct a jig saw puzzle. I watch as the vessel that is myself open up, I listen as the magic from within work its way out, to orchestrate and unite all that is in agreement. The story, unknown, floating loosely awaiting its moment. It has to be carefully, glued together scrap by scrap brought out to light and be born. There will be rough edges that appear to be out of tune and some that might be out of place, but with a harmonious melody between the Mind and the Spirit, instructions will be easily followed, all for the purpose of an excellent execution.
